If you find your fruits looking blotchy as they ripen, it can be caused by insufficient fertilization, and sometimes potassium deficiency in particular. The problem occurs most frequently in cool weather, and both under and over-watering can contribute. Be sure to watch carefully, as this may be an early sign of another, more serious, problem.
