Salt Damage

Tomatoes are pretty tolerant to salt, but it can still accumulate in the older leaves of your tomato plant, causing them to turn yellow and fall off. In extreme cases, it can stunt the growth of your plants. Be sure to water with pure water, and in northern climates (where roads get salted in winter), try to keep salty runoff from getting into your planting area.
