Our Bali Planters are fabricated from a proprietary resin that has been finished in a weathered look to achieve the look of aged pottery, but has all the modern benefits of resin- they wont crack, crumble, and are resilient to most types of weather. Our Bali planters come with an intricate self-watering system that, in an indoor environment, re-feeds water to the plant via its roots. The system has a bottom reservoir in which water accumulates and allows the plant to wick up the water as needed.
The water-minder disk is glued to the bottom of the planter and secured by a peg in the middle, assuring a tight fit so the water feature does not free itself from the planter.
If using outdoors, turn the Bali planter upside down. Remove the rubber plug at the bottom of the planter so water can drain freely as to avoid over watering and unwanted amounts of water that could drown or impair the health of the plant. Simply slide the plug into the top of the planter for safekeeping, in the event the plant is eventually moved indoors.
