Product Description
The term Wardian Glass Case comes from an 1800’s English botanist/physicist named Doctor Ward. He discovered that plants thrived when covered with a glass case. In the cold bleak winters, people used these glass cases to start plants and have a "head start" for Spring. Soon they became more decorative, and became very popular throughout the western world. Taking its cue from terrariums of the past, our terrarium is full of special details of glass and metal trims, and features an opening roof panel. Create a plant scene, or use it to house special keepsakes or cut flowers. Measures 10.5"W x 8.5"D x 10.5"H with a matte black powder-coat finish.
