This Reservoir Will Change Your Life
Until recently, I'd never had a single plant in my house because I was terrified of killing them. Then we discovered vintage built-in planters in the entryway of our new home and decided we couldn't *not* have plants in them.

When we told her we wanted a low-maintenance setup, our garden consultant recommended Windowbox.com and these Rectangular Planter Well Reservoirs. Where have these been all my life?!!!

We placed one of these in each planter, covered them with dirt, and planted our plants. Filling up the reservoirs with a hose was a bit nerve-wracking because we couldn't tell if they were getting full or not. It seemed like they just filled and filled for about 15 minutes and never got full (I think what really happened was that the extra water just started seeping into the dirt rather than backing up the fill pipe).

It has now been 4 months and we still haven't had to refill the reservoirs! I love that our little garden just takes care of itself so there's no chance of me drowning it or drying it out. We did lose the ferns in one of the planters, but the pothos are going gangbusters! That planter is not as wide as the other, and it doesn't get as much light, so I think we probably should have chosen the next smallest reservoir for that one.

I just wish they made these in tiny sizes to fit regular plant pots!
